Community HIV / AIDS surveillance costs CFAF 780 million

It is funded by the US government for the 2022-2024 triennium.

The Ministry of Public Health alongside partners, officially launched in August 2021, the project of community monitoring of HIV / AIDS.

This project is implemented by the Cameroonian Network of Associations of People Living with HIV (Recap+). Funded to the tune of CFAF 780 million, by the US government to improve participatory community monitoring systems for HIV services over the next three years in 147 health centers across the ten regions of Cameroon.

In other words, it is a commitment from Cameroon to eliminate the costs of servicing HIV patients.

The United States remain committed to supporting Cameroon to end HIV / AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
