An asylum seeker was tested positively, and a screening of all people in the care center has now been carried out.
A positive test result on Covid-19 was found on Wednesday at an asylum seeker in the initial reception center (EAST Ost) in Traiskirchen. Now a screening of all persons in the care center is carried out. The Lower Austrian state government also announced that a new regulation prohibiting entry – valid until June 3 – was issued.
The asylum seeker has had typical illness symptoms since May 15. When, where and by whom he was infected, the health authority of the Baden district authority is currently using contact tracing. The person concerned was separated by decision.
Already at the end of March there was a ban on entry at the initial reception center in Traiskirchen after Covid 19 diseases became known. The measure was extended until the end of April. Then the residents were allowed to move outside the arial again. At that time, nine infections had occurred.
This time, the ban on entry was justified by the fact that the result of the area-wide testing should not be jeopardized by mixing with new people. The screening in the federal care center is supported by the state of Lower Austria,
