The demand is higher than ever. The online shops of Coop and Migros are literally stormed by customers. This also leads to a shortage of delivery dates. A message from Coop @ home states that some delivery dates are fully booked.
The company is working intensively to further increase capacities, the message to the customers says. Although the Coop delivery service unlocks new delivery dates every day, there may be delays.
No subsequent orders
The retailer therefore asks customers who are currently unable to find a free delivery date to try to get one later. Due to the tight capacities, it is no longer possible to change the orders afterwards.
Due to the high demand, Coop @ home’s customer service department also received a large number of inquiries. This leads to longer waiting times on the phone and delays in answering e-mail inquiries.
Up to two weeks waiting time at Migros
Migros’ Leshop.ch is also booming. “In the online area, demand is currently very high,” says Migros spokesman Stöpper to BLICK. Many customers who had previously bought in the store switched to Le Shop.
Lack of capacity
As already known, due to the high demand, the ordered goods can no longer be picked up in the shop. The option “pick-up” in the Coop branches can only be offered again when the necessary capacities are available again, it said.
The retailer also points out again that to protect customers and employees, the bills of the delivery service should be settled by card payment or invoice if possible.
The competition is now working flat out to process the orders. Almost all delivery windows are currently fully booked, say the website of Le Shop, Migros’ home delivery service. (SDA / way)
