Jose Luis Alomía Zegarra Director General of Epidemiology, reported this September 30, from the National Palace, that in Mexico confirmed deaths because of coronavirus (COVID-19) add up 77,646 and what’s up 743,216 confirmed cases accumulated.
Mexico City and the State of Mexico are the entities with the highest number of active cases Estimates (with start date of the last 14 days by the positivity index, by entity and epidemiological week). Currently 39, 507 cases are estimated in this week 38 of the pandemic.

Regarding 29,548 general hospital beds counted throughout the country, 28% (8,166) are employed and the 72% are available (21,382). The states with the lowest percentage of available beds are: Nuevo León, Nayarit, Colima and Mexico City.
For his part, the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell Ramírez, pointed out that the technology with which vaccines are produced is highly variable, however, the principle of all is to introduce them to the body of the person or animal, with a material modified to the virus that is not capable of getting sick but of producing immunizing cells.
He pointed out that in the case of the influenza vaccine, it is made from eggs, which are controlled in laboratories to remove the virus that after a scientific process becomes a vaccine that when applied will protect the person from the disease.
The undersecretary recalled that Mexico is already part of the Covax platform of the World Health Organization (WHO), to ensure more than 2 million vaccines at an affordable price.
