The event, which required the intervention of 25 firefighters around 7 a.m., on Principale Street in this small municipality, has just taken a turn for the less nebulous.
A little later in the morning, after the extinction of the fire, the authorities found a seriously injured man on Route 108, on the side of La Guadeloupe, still in Beauce, indicates the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The individual in his forties was in a stolen van with which he rolled over. In addition to the injuries caused by the accident, he had serious burns all over his body.
Transported to a hospital center in Quebec, he will be seen later, when his condition allows it. However, we do not fear for his life.
” An investigation is underway. We can’t confirm it’s connected and the man hasn’t been arrested. But we have to clarify all that, ”says Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the SQ.
Regarding the fire in Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley, although the local fire department indicates that it would be of criminal origin, the provincial police force only qualifies it as a suspect for the moment.
An investigator and a fire scene technician went to the scene to analyze the scene.
