Crown prince affected by coronavirus


The Royal Court of Jordan announced on Monday that Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah has contracted the coronavirus, noting that his state of health is “stable”, while King Abdullah II and Queen Rania will be subject to preventive confinement in home for 5 days. .

The Royal Diwan said in a press release consulted by the Anadolu Agency that “the coronavirus screening test carried out for Prince Hussein ben Abdallah was found to be positive”.

And to add: “Prince Hussein, having already received the vaccine against Covid-19, presented mild symptoms and is in very good health.”

“According to the health protocol followed in case of contact with people who have received the vaccine against the coronavirus, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania will be subject to a preventive quarantine at home for a period of five days”, explains the press release, which stressed that the results of the King’s and Queen’s tests, carried out today, were “negative”.

Jordan recorded, until the evening of Monday, 820,798 contaminations due to Covid-19, including 10,697 deaths, and 797,773 healings.
