Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt RED reassures players, no more postponement of the release date in sight

Cyberpunk 2077 was announced in 2012, and we’ve seen it all ever since. It is experiencing a last complicated year of development, marked by two postponements of the release date, including one last due to COVID-19. We now have an appointment on November 19, 2020 for a release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, ahead of availability on PS5, Xbox Series X and Stadia.

But after these repeated disappointments, can we really trust CD Project RED to go out Cyberpunk 2077 in a little over two months? It seems so! Asked by an investor during the last financial report of the Polish company, President Adam Kiciński reassured everyone by announcing that the development had just entered the final certification process.

So yes, we confirm and, in fact, today we started to prepare for the final certification, so we are very close. Of course, we’ll work on the title until the very end, that’s a bit normal. It’s a huge game, but like we said – everything is on track and we plan to launch on November 19th.

In the video recap of CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, the latter concludes otherwise by stating:

When we find ourselves in this format, Cyberpunk 2077 will already be out.

Knowing that this is a quarterly review, he too seems to indicate that all indicators are green for a launch on November 19, 2020. If you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet, now is the time to edit D1 is currently at € 54.99 at Amazon.fr.
