In Kölliken AG there was a collision between a car and a cyclist. The cyclist had to be brought to the hospital seriously injured.
According to the cantonal police in Aargau, a collision between a car and a cyclist occurred in Kölliken AG.
A 56-year-old driver drove her VW in Kölliken out of town towards Safenwil on Thursday afternoon. During a turning maneuver on Obermattenstrasse, a bike from the region came to meet her, the police said. In the confluence area of the street there was a collision between the two.
The 58-year-old cyclist is said to have crashed into the VW windshield and was then hurled over the car onto the asphalt, said police spokesman Roland Pfister. He is said to have sustained serious injuries. The 58-year-old was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The police estimate the property damage to be around CHF 10,000. It initiated the investigation to clarify the course of the accident. The VW driver from the Zofingen district has been temporarily removed from the driver’s license.
