[David Hallyday] renounced his father’s estate , said his lawyer Me Pierre-Jean Douvier, confirming information published in the daily The Figaro.
David does not receive anything, whether patrimonial or financially, and he does not ask for anything. He did not receive any symbolic objects.
End of a long legal battle
Laura Smet and David Hallyday had contested the will of their father two months after his death in 2017. Only the widow of Johnny Hallyday, Laeticia, inherited all of his heritage and his artist rights.
In mid-July, the latter asserted in the Paris Match that the legacy of the star was
heritage, little cash and a lot of debt.
Laeticia Hallyday’s lawyer announced on July 3 the conclusion of a
final agreement between Johnny’s widow and his daughter Laura Smet.
The deal, details of which have not been released, ended more than two years of court proceedings.
Now the page is turned and David looks to the future with the return of serenity, mentioned the lawyer of the co-plaintiff of this legal battle, David Hallyday.
