Ricardo Salgado was not present at the Monsanto Criminal Court, but his thesis regarding the fall of Banco Espírito Santo (BES), the same one that has been repeated over the last few years, echoed in the room where this Friday the instructional debate continued of the main proceedings on the collapse of BES/GES. Lawyer Adriano Squilacce, from the firm Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho, was his voice when it came to presenting the final allegations and, in the first few minutes, he had a word for the injured parties. As if speaking directly to them, he said: “They are not victims of BES! They are harmed by Banco de Portugal and are starting to be harmed by the liquidation commission of BES!”
