Kalianda (Lampost.co) — The case of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Palas District, South Lampung, was found again. There is at least one case of DHF that infects residents of Sukaraja Village and is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The person in charge of the UPTD DHF program at the Outpatient Health Center in Palas Sub-district, Joko Prihanto, said that his party found one case of DHF that attacked Murni Hasanah (16), a resident of Sukaraja Village. Where, the patient has been sick since May 5, 2022.
“This morning we just received a copy from the Health Service and Bob Bazar Hospital, Kalianda. In our work area, it will appear again in May 2022,” he said when contacted, Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Getting this information, Joko admitted that his party will go down to the patient’s house to conduct an epidemiological investigation (PE) as well as socialize DHF on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
“God willing, tomorrow we will go to the location for PE as well as socialization and distribution of abates. Next, we will do fumigation to kill adult mosquitoes. Until this May, there have been at least six cases,” he said.
Joko said his party in the last few days had descended to a number of villages which were endemic to dengue cases. His party came down to distribute abate and socialization.
“Basically all villages have the potential for dengue cases to emerge. However, what often appear are cases of dengue fever, namely in the villages of Mekarmulya, Sukaraja, Bandanhurip, Palasjaya and Palaspasemah. For this reason, we have socialized about the dangers of dengue, including the distribution of abatements,” he said.
With the emergence of the dengue case, Joko again reminded the public to improve environmental hygiene by eradicating mosquito nests (PSN) by doing 3 M plus.
“People must be diligent in draining and closing water reservoirs. And burying used items that become objects of puddles. Then, don’t forget to use body lation while sleeping, in the morning and evening,” he said.
