Deviations, closed roads …: the disruptions expected this Sunday in Brussels

Lhe Sunday, August 29, the 5th edition of the Bxl Tour will be held in the capital. The cycling race, which will start from Place des Palais and arrive at avenue du Gros Tilleul, near the Atomium, will lead to the closure of certain roads, the organizers and the City of Brussels announced on Thursday. The use of the car in the capital is strongly discouraged from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Place des Palais will be closed from Saturday August 28 at 2:00 p.m. only in the direction of rue Ducale towards rue Royale. It will then be closed in both directions on Sunday 29 between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Rue Ducale will also be closed from 5 a.m. The rue and the Belliard tunnel, the avenue de Tervuren, the boulevard du Souverain, the boulevard Général Jacques, the boulevard Auguste Reyers, the boulevard Lambermont, the avenue Van Praet, the avenue du Parc Royal and the exits of the A12 motorway to Brussels will all be closed between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Finally, Boulevard du Centenaire between Place Saint-Lambert and Square de l’Atomium will be inaccessible from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
