Due to the earthquake in Tajikistan, houses in the villages of the Sughd region were damaged

Residential buildings were damaged in the villages of the Sughd region of Tajikistan as a result of the earthquake. This was reported in the press center of the Committee for Emergency Situations.

Last night and in the morning, seismologists recorded two earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.9 and 5.1 on the territory of the republic. People in fear came out of their houses into the street. On behalf of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, a special commission was created to assess the damage. Tremors were also felt in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. But there were no reports of casualties or damage from there.

Let me remind you that a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred yesterday in northern Afghanistan. Roofs and walls collapsed in houses. More than ten people died and dozens were injured in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan.
