SERAMBINEWS.COM, BANDA ACEH – It has been a week since the sticker affixing program for cars receiving subsidized fuel has been implemented throughout Aceh.
The activity was carried out by the Aceh Government together with Pertamina and Hiswana, with the aim of making subsidized fuel distribution more targeted.
The sticker installation did have an immediate impact, with the existence of a number of luxury vehicles that used to fill up subsidized fuel, now avoiding it.
“Interestingly, some of the vehicles which are in the luxury category fail to have stickers attached. They then switched to using Pertalite, Pertamax, Dex or Dexlite, “said Unit Manager Comm, Rail & CSR Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I, Roby Hervindo.
However, he said, there are still a number of other luxury vehicles that are still willing to put up stickers and queue for subsidized fuel.
Roby explained, of the 29,539 Premium stickers that were affixed, around 2,000 owners of luxury vehicles were still willing to put up a sticker that read “Not for People Who Pretend to be Unable”.
Among them are the new Toyota Innova and Honda Jazz cars.
As for the Solar stickers, around 4 thousand of them are installed in today’s modern vehicles such as the Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Innova.
