The carrier will offer three flights a week, and the competition will intensify from the winter.
After two years, the British low-cost airline easyJet announces a new connection from Prague. From July 19, it will start flying to Barcelona again. On the route to the Catalan capital, the competition will increase significantly again; from the end of October, four carriers should fly from Prague to Barcelona.
EasyJet will fly three times a week: Monday, Friday and Sunday. It starts with a relatively aggressive pricing policy, return tickets can be purchased for around CZK 1,350.
Currently, only Vueling flies to Barcelona, but Ryanair plans to return from the winter flight schedule and Eurowings will enter the route. EasyJet will offer flights on Sundays with departures at 11 a.m., Monday at 11:15 a.m. and Friday at 7:15 p.m., from Barcelona at 7:50, 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The flight schedule is currently set until the end of October.
“Spain has long been one of the most sought-after tourist destinations throughout the year. The new easyJet line confirms this interest and will bring other travel alternatives between Prague and Barcelona in the main season. Thanks to direct flights scheduled for every Monday, Friday and Sunday, Czechs can also enjoy a pleasant extended weekend in Barcelona,“Said Jaroslav Filip, Director of Aviation at Prague Airport.
EasyJet is also reconnecting to Amsterdam, and will start flying to Geneva again from July.
