Eduin Caz, from Grupo Firme, sings “El Ratón”, a song for Ovidio Guzmán

The release of Ovidio Guzman, son of “El Chapo”, has also been a theme of inspiration for many singers, including Eduin Caz vocalist of Firm Group, who appeared in a video covering “The mouse”, a song by the band FN code.

The theme that narrates different parts of the public life of Ovidio Guzmán, who is also known as “El Mouse”, has caused a sensation and controversy among the followers of the Firme group for getting involved in narcocorridos.

In the video you can see Eduin wearing sportswear and holding a cell phone, in which he is reading the lyrics of the song to interpret it.

“Perfect song”, “Good song, greetings to the chapitos”, “I liked it a lot, blessings”, are some of the comments of support that can be read in the publication of the video.

While other netizens consider that perhaps they did it because they received threats, or it was a “forced request.”

“We should not judge each one knows the cross he carries, only God bless and protect him.” “Nobody knows what’s up or why he sings it, sometimes they threaten if you don’t sing it…”, expressed his followers.

A few days ago, the Sinaloan band FN Code released the acoustic version of this song on digital platforms.

The group is recognized for hits such as “El Muchacho de la barba”, “I like you a lot”, “El ahijado spoiled”, “Humilde de ancestry”, but it was with their narcocorrido “El Ratón” that they released in 2021 that they went viral in social networks.

The lyrics

Guzmán last name, is Ovidio too
By nickname, they call him mouse
A boss with a lot of brains, a son of Chapo
that gentleman
In Jesus Maria, he grew up
Hot blooded and action

Bring people and they are pure pintos
With his potato throwers, he is a team
I respect 90 el güerito, he is my compadre
Firm, my old man
I have a lot of friends
Support and endorsement I give them

I am the mouse
I am Ovidio, I am Guzmán, son of El Chapo
I am the brother of Alfredito and Archivaldo
And by the way I apologize for the culiacanazo

I didn’t fight
Well, the life of my daughters came first
So that they know that I do not know fear
A Guzmán is not intimidated, less with those of the government

And here we walk in Codes, proclamations!
¡Uah!

Guzmán last name, is Ovidio too
By nickname, they call him mouse
A boss with a lot of brains, a son of El Chapo
that gentleman
In Jesus Maria, he grew up
Hot blooded and action

Bring people and they are pure pintos

Who is Ovid?

Ovidio Guzmán López, alias “El Ratón” or “El Ratón Nuevo”, is one of the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, a prisoner in the United States, about whom little was known until he was arrested in October 2019 and then left released in a failed operation carried out by the Army and the National Guard.

The 30-year-old Guzmán López is considered one of the main exporters of fentanyl and methamphetamine, both synthetic drugs, to the United States.

He is the son of Griselda López Pérez, the second wife of “El Chapo” Guzmán, arrested in May 2010, but who is currently free.
