Emilia-Romagna flood, Ferrari donates one million euros: concrete and immediate help

The situation in Emilia-Romagna and Marche is still critical: we are still dealing with thebad weather emergency (here the latest updates in real time) which has brought and is continuing to bring to its knees a large portion of the population of the two regions and the floods which are causing a lot of damage to the territory. The rescue operations continue unabated and there are already many le charitable initiatives organized to help the flood victims. And also the world of engines and Formula 1 (which precisely because of this situation had to cancel the Imola GP scheduled for this weekend) wanted to give tangible help to the victims of this catastrophe. Among these is also the Ferrari who wanted to contribute concretely and immediately to help the Emilian population affected by this exceptional wave of bad weather.

The Casa del Cavallino Rampante has in fact announced that it has joined the regional fundraising campaign with a maxi donation of one million euro to the Agency for Territorial Security and Civil Protection of the Emilia-Romagna Region. As illustrated by the Maranello team itself the donated funds will be used to help the local population affected by the floods of recent days, with particular attention to environmental recovery projects and the management of hydrogeological instability.

The CEO Benedict Vignaafter thanking the work done in these dramatic hours by local authorities and rescuers, underlined how this donation is almost a duty towards the community of the Prancing Horse house itself (a company born and developed in Emilia- Romagna where it still has its headquarters today both for the production of luxury cars and for the sports management of the Formula 1 team and other sectors related to motor racing): “In times of difficulty, Ferrari has always stood by its community. We wanted to give a concrete and immediate response to the most urgent needs of the Emilia-Romagna populationproven by a major environmental disaster – in fact said Benedetto Vigna announcing the maxi donation of one million euros made in support of the populations affected by the wave of bad weather –. With the coordination of the local authorities, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks for their tireless work in these hours, this help will bring comfort and a tangible sign of the solidarity of the entire Ferrari family” commented the number one of the Maranello company, expressing his closeness to the victims of this huge tragedy.
