Enthusiast showed Counter-Strike Global Offensive at Source 2

Rumors that Valve is going to update Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the Source 2 engine has been going for a long time. At the beginning of summer, information appeared that this could happen as early as August.

The team of game designers and modders Gabefollower decided not to wait for the official transfer, but did it themselves. Enthusiasts created all systems and mechanics from scratch without using a single line of code from the original game. Development is carried out on the S&bo platform.

The project is still in its early stages, but the team has posted a vertical slice of the gameplay on their channel. According to one of the team members, its development took six months, and the final version is not far away.

From the video, you can see that the quality of visual effects, the reaction of hero models to hits and graphics have improved. Naturally, all elements still need further refinement, although the result is already impressive.
