Erdogan: the number of victims of the explosion in an ammunition depot in Turkey has risen to seven

ANKARA, 10 November. / Tass /. The number of victims of the explosion in an ammunition depot in the province of Hakkari, in south-eastern Turkey, has risen to seven. The president of the country Tayyip Erdogan announced this Saturday at Ankara airport, the transmission of his speech was shown on the NTV channel.

"The number of our soldiers killed in the explosion in the Hakkari ammunition depot has risen to 7. Another 25 people have been injured, four of them are in serious condition and will be taken to therapy in Ankara," he said.

On November 9, the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey reported that an emergency occurred in the Shemdinli district of Hakkari province following the explosion of heavy weapons ammunition. According to unconfirmed information, the cause of the explosion could be the penetration of a training artillery shell in the warehouse.
