After years of constant growth, the fast food market is also collapsing this year.
The sales that the local gastronomy has lost since the nationwide closure on March 16 are lost forever. Due to the lack of tourism, gastronomy is missing a total of over 60 million euros – every day. Fast food chains have an advantage with their delivery and pick-up services, which are usually offered before the crisis. In its new market analysis, however, the market research institute “Industry Radar” assumes that the turnover of the fast food chains will fall by 14 percent this year to 1.1 billion euros.
