Hoogma sustained the injury earlier this month, the day before the match against VVV-Venlo during training in Veenendaal.
“In a duel I felt that there was something wrong with my ankle. The studies at UMC Utrecht have shown that an operation is fortunately not necessary, but that recovery will take two months, ”says Hoogma. “I have now been given a cast to give my ankle complete rest. After the mandatory rest period, I will do everything I can to quickly get back in shape. ”
Football: Willem II feels the pressure in relegation cracker against ADO Den Haag
4:26 pm: The interests in the catch-up game between Willem II and ADO Den Haag on Wednesday (start: 4.30 pm) are high. The numbers 16 and 17 of the Eredivisie have the same number of points, knowing that the penultimate team will also be relegated in this season. A victory in Tilburg is mandatory for Willem II, trainer Zeljko Petrovic states plainly.
“It’s a very important game,” he admits. “We feel that pressure and we don’t have to run away from it. We have to fight a lot and show our supporters and the people within the club that we do everything we can to get away from the bottom. ”
Willem II delivered a default at home against FC Utrecht (0-6) on Friday evening. “We discussed what went wrong and what needs to be improved,” Petrovic said. “We have to be sharper in all respects against ADO. Faster pace, fiercer in duels, better communication. ADO is not of the level Utrecht, but if we do not come out better than Friday, it will be a difficult evening on Wednesday as well. ”
In the relegation battle, Willem II can probably count on Freek Heerkens and Pol Llonch again. According to Petrovic, Kwasi Wriedt will return to the front line.

“Borussia deserves as much respect as all our other opponents,” Guardiola argued. “It’s a normal match for us. We are preparing in the same way as we have before for our duels with Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton. ”
City’s away game is played in Budapest due to German corona rules.

„I have been absent from the away game against Feyenoord for private reasons before, but this was very different. You feel good, you have a negative corona test result and yet it is better not to be near others. Anyway: it was better that I was at home on the couch than one of the players. We would like to keep all risks of contamination as small as possible ”, says Buijs.
