Syed Abdul Hafeez, director of football in Al-Ahly, revealed that Ammar Hamdi, the team player, may join the club’s list participating in the African Champions League.
“Ammar is a very distinguished and young player, and the technical staff trusts him. We have one place left on the African list, and the opportunity to register him Africa is very great,” Abdel Hafeez told On Sport.
He continued, “It may be a priority for its continuation, there are no other cards left for the African list, all players are registered in the African list, except for Karim Walid (Nedved).”
“The option remains to restrict Ammar in anticipation of the need for it at any time, because he has an opportunity for continuity if he participates, or Rene Filer refuses due to the abundance of players on the parties, so we will not settle it at this time.”
In a related context, Al-Ahly’s director of football continued, “Al-Ahly’s goalkeeping center is very stable, and there is no intention to loan any guard during the current winter transfer period,” in response to reports that clubs asked Mustafa Schubert or Ali Lutfi.
The former Al-Ahly player concluded his talk that the renewal of Walid Suleiman, Ahmed Fathi, Hussam Ashour and Sharif Ekrami will be discussed after the end of the group stage of the African Champions League.
The four players’ contracts expire in June.
Al-Ahly and Safa are ranked second in the African Champions League, with a score of 7 points, two points away from the leading Tunisian coastal star.
Al-Ahly will host the Al-Najm team on Sunday, and after 6 days, he will be visiting Al-Hilal Al-Sudani in the last round of the group stage.
