With a special train in the colors of the "Air Force One" presidential plane, the late former President Bush was taken to his last home. Bush was buried in Texas near his wife Barbara and daughter Robin.
Six days after his death, former US President George H. W. Bush was buried with military honors in Texas. Bush was buried Thursday (local time) with his family in College Station on the campus of A & M University, which houses his library and museum. In honor of the former naval pilot he flew over the site a formation of four navy fighter planes. Bush died at his home in Houston, at the age of 94, Friday. He ruled from 1989 to 1993. His death was grieved all over the world.
Bush was buried next to his wife Barbara and his daughter Robin. Barbara Bush did not die until April of this year. The couple had been married for 73 years and had six children. Robin died of leukemia in 1953 at the age of three. Former Bush spokesman Jim McGrath wrote on Twitter on Thursday: "The forty-first president of the United States of America, George Herbert Walker Bush, has reached his last resting place."
A special train brought Bush's body to College Station. Many people were waiting along the way. The locomotive wore the colors of the "Air Force One" presidential plane. The Union Pacific railway company had dedicated the Bush locomotive, bringing the number "4141" in the style of the 41st President of the United States.

With a moving funeral service, the Bush family and numerous dignitaries paid tribute to the deceased Wednesday at Washington's National Cathedral. George W. Bush called his father "a great and generous man, the best father a son or daughter could have". The 72-year-old George W. Bush succeeded his father eight years after his departure from his position.
Trump: honor for a "wonderful man"
In addition to US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania, all former US presidents and Chancellor Angela Merkel also participated in the funeral service. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Bush had openly sided with German unity as one of the very few Western heads of state.
Trump did not speak at the funeral itself. At a White House event Thursday, Trump called the ceremony the day before a "nice tribute" to a "wonderful man".
The Republican goodbye of several days had begun with Trump sending a presidential car to Texas on Monday to take the body of the deceased to Washington. The coffin was then displayed on the Capitol in Washington, where many people said goodbye to the former president. On Wednesday morning the procession with the coffin departed from the Campidoglio towards the cathedral, many spectators had gathered in the surrounding streets. Some of them cried.
