AMLAPURA, BALIPOST.com – Changing the weather from rainy to hot makes mosquito larvae grow. This condition causes quite a lot of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) cases in Karangasem Regency. In the first quarter, the number of dengue cases reached hundreds of cases.
The Head of the Karangasem District Health Office I Gusti Bagus Putra Pertama, Monday (27/3) revealed, in the first quarter of 2023, the Karangasem Health Service recorded 175 cases of DHF. “Especially in March, there have been 49 cases. And do not rule out the possibility that the number can increase, considering that the third month is not over yet, “he said.
The first added, in order to prevent the spread of dengue cases, his party had taken anticipatory steps. Namely, conducting fogging, activating the DHF Working Group in each village. “Hopefully this Working Group can function as an educational tool to eradicate mosquito nests,” he said.
He explained, until now there have been no cases until residents died due to this DHF case. And in the hospital itself there are still around seven patients being treated for dengue fever. “Hopefully zero victims died from this dengue fever,” he hoped. (Eka Prananda/Balipost).
