There sixth criminal section of the Supreme Court has the appeal dismissed presented by the League leader Matteo Salvini against the order of the Review with which the green light for the preventive seizure had been given.

The seizure order was requested by the Genoa prosecutor in relation to the alleged fraud against the State, estimated at 49 million, for electoral reimbursements not due from 2008 to 2010, for which they were convicted in the first instance (the appeals process) is under way) the former leader of the Carroccio Umberto Bossi, the former treasurer Francesco Belsito and three former auditors.
The Cassation had already dealt with the case last April, when the second penal section, accepting the appeal of the Genoa public prosecutor's office, had canceled the order by which the re-examination of the Ligurian capital, in November 2017, had rejected the request of pm to go ahead with the seizures on the Lega accounts.
The review, applying the legal line indicated by the Supreme Court with the motivations of the sentence filed in July and accepting the appeal of the prosecutors, had therefore given the green light to seizures in September. Also the substitute pg of Cassazione Marco Dall'Olio, during the audience held yesterday morning, had solicited the rejection of the appeal presented by Matteo Salvini.
