The daily Le Monde was able to consult the complaint filed by the German journalist, Ann-Kathrin Stracke, 37 years old.
His complaint was sent to the Paris prosecutor’s office on March 10. The facts alleged against the former president are described by Le Monde: “On that day, Ms. Stracke had an appointment with Mr. Giscard d’Estaing in his office on boulevard Saint-Germain, in Paris. The purpose of the meeting: an interview for the German public broadcaster WDR, on the 100th anniversary of the birth of former Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt (1918-2015), in power when “VGE” was at the Elysée. “After the interview, Mrs. Stracke asked Mr. Giscard d’Estaing if he would like to pose for a photograph with her, her cameraman and her sound recorder. What he accepts. But at that moment, the journalist says the former president wrapped his arms around her, touched her waist and put her hand on her buttock. ”
Still according to Le Monde, the journalist declared in her complaint that “very surprised and disapproving of these attacks which made me extremely uncomfortable, I tried to push the hand of Mr. Giscard d’Estaing, without however get there ”.
