Free online registry certificates from today. Here’s what the service is and how it works – LIST and GUIDE

The president of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, he has downloaded, preview, the first digital certificate through the “National Resident Population Registry” platform.

From Monday, the service will be active that will allow citizens to obtain personal certificates online, in an autonomous and free matter, by accessing the platform www.anagrafenazionale.interno.it also available through the address www.anagrafenazionale.gov.it.

How the service works and what are the certificates that can be downloaded

Citizens registered in the registry will be able to download 14 certificates for their own account or for a member of their family, without having to go to the counter. These are the certificates that can be obtained: Birth registry; Marriage registry; of Citizenship; of Existence in life; of Residence; of Residence AIRE; of civil status; of family status; of residence in cohabitation; of State of AIRE family; of family status with kinship relationships; Free State; Civil Union registry; of Cohabitation Agreement.

For digital certificates – specifies a note from the Ministry of Innovation – the stamp duty will not have to be paid and will therefore be free (and available in multilingual mode for municipalities with multilingualism). They can also be issued in contextual form (for example citizenship, life and residence can be requested in a single certificate).

How to access the portal

The portal is accessed with one’s digital identity (SPID, Electronic Identity Card, CNS) and if the request is for a family member, the list of family members for which a certificate can be requested will be shown. The service also allows you to preview the document to verify the correctness of the data and to be able to download it in .pdf format or receive it via email.

Numbers and services

To date, ANPR collects data from 98% of the Italian population with 7794 municipalities already taking over and the rest in the process of taking over. The National Registry, which includes the Registry of Italians residing abroad (AIRE) equal to 5 million people, involves over 57 million residents in Italy and will be completed in 2021. Progress can be monitored on the portal of the accession process by the Italian Municipalities.

The next steps

To these first certificates that can be downloaded online, others can easily be added without changes to the regulatory framework and in the coming months further services for the citizen will be implemented, such as the procedures for making the change of residence.

Thanks to ANPR – the note concludes – the Italian administrations will have a single reference point of data and personal information, from which they can find certain and secure information in order to provide integrated and more efficient services for citizens. With a single national registry, each update on ANPR will be immediately available for public bodies accessing the database, from the Revenue Agency to the INPS, to the Civil Motorization.
