Garden parties: the new event space offers an exciting venue throughout the year

For the first time, Gonville & Caius College offers summer garden parties and Christmas carpentry parties in its exciting new event space, Acropolis At Caius.

Located in the charming garden of the College's West Road, in the heart of the city, the Acropolis At Caius is a sophisticated 2150 m² tent structure that will be available from July 2019 for a period of 15 months while some of the restaurants and the kitchen of the College the structures around the main Antica Corte Corridor are subjected to an important restructuring program.

Called the Acropolis for its intriguing architectural form and its multiple glass sides around its connected hexagonal structures, the event space will provide open-air views into the gardens that reflect the open appearance of the ancient citadel situated above the city of Athens. Up to 140 can sit on round tables for dinner, up to 100 cabaret style and 180 theater style.

It is ideal for summer garden parties and Christmas carpentry parties for smaller companies and organizations that want to celebrate the festive season but not big enough to host their event.

Eve Stupart, Conference Manager of Gonville & Caius, said: "The launch of our new event space is an exciting initiative and allows us to offer summer parties with surrounding gardens that offer a perfect backdrop for drinks receptions and Open events later in the year, Acropolis At Caius will be an amazing and original setting for Christmas holidays, both private events and parties for Joiner members who have been hard to find. in the last few years.

"We are particularly excited to be able to host large dinners sitting on round tables – up to 140 people in total – which can be a challenge in Cambridge."

For Christmas, the Joiner Party Nights in December will include arrival drinks, three-course menu for parties, disco and booths for fun photos for £ 49.95 per person.

The adjacent Caius buildings include the Cavonius Convention Center, along with 174-room residential vacation homes in Harvey Court and The Stephen Hawking Building, with a mix of single, double and twin rooms for party guests who wish to stay overnight.
