HP has published documentation that mentions the NVIDIA GeForce 11-Series graphics card, the GTX 1180. In January, this accelerator had already been highlighted in the GFXBench performance tests.
If the GTX 1180 is based on simplified crystals without the RT cores responsible for ray tracing, or these rejected chips, where these blocks are disabled, it is not yet clear. Like the fact that the video card will go on retail or will only be provided to OEM manufacturers.
The GTX 1180 is available in some versions of the HP Obelisk 875 and Obelisk 880 desktops on the official website and in the online store appears appears-malin.fr. But we should not rule out the option that HP simply made a mistake in the documentation or did not correct the data after the release of the GeForce GTX 2080. Recall that the latter appeared in the summer entries just under that name.
A rather odd model number, considering that the simplest graphics card was called GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. If the GTX 1180 is really a product in preparation, perhaps, unlike the GTX 1660, not only the RT cores will be disabled in this video card, but will be made also other simplifications?
In any case, NVIDIA needs cheaper graphics than the modern generation, which could compete more effectively with AMD offerings that lack the features of ray tracing and tensor computation in Turing generation, which are not so popular.
