JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves) is holding the Indonesia Aja Travel Fair (DIATF) 2023 which will take place on May 19-21, at the Grand Atrium of Kota Kasablanka Mall, Tebet, South Jakarta.
Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Odo RM Manuhutu said the purpose of the Travel Fair was to support the implementation of the Proud to Tour in Indonesia (BBWI) program which has a target of 1.2-1.4 billion trips this year.
“The BBWI program was initiated to build Indonesian tourism independence by developing a mindset of pride and priority for traveling in Indonesia,” he said as quoted from the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries website, Thursday (18/5/2023).
The government has set a target for the value of tourism’s contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) to reach 4.10 percent and provide revenue of IDR 3,281 trillion.

Support from the banking sector is an important element for holding DIATF 2023. As many as 5 state-owned and private Indonesian banks, namely BCA, BNI, BRI, CIMB Niaga, Mandiri participated in making the event a success initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, by providing IDR 500,000 cashback for every minimum purchase of IDR 3 million and 0 percent installments for 3 months.
“BCA is committed to providing innovation and reliable banking solutions through easy payment for customers. We also provide cashback promos of up to IDR 500,000 and 0 percent installments for 3 months to make it easier for tourists. We hope this collaboration can increase the attractiveness and level of visits to domestic tourists. ,” said Executive Vice President of BCA, I Ketut A. Wangsawijaya.

Meanwhile, BNI Head of Card Business Grace Situmeang said, BNI always supports all efforts to restore and improve the tourism industry in Indonesia. Through the Di Indonesia Aja campaign and the BBWI program, it is hoped that it can increase public interest and awareness for traveling within the country.
According to him, the revival of tourism can have a positive impact directly or indirectly on the national economy.
“On this occasion, BNI also invites people who do not yet have a BNI credit card to be able to register online directly via the e-form by clicking on the link bit.ly/BNICC-DiIATF and can get cashback of Rp. 1 million. With a minimum transaction requirement of Rp. 2 million in the first 2 months since the card was approved,” explained Grace.
