Giro: The 2023 edition will start with a time trial in Abruzzo

The 2023 edition of the Tour of Italy cycling will begin on May 6 with an 18.4km time trial between Fossacesia Marina and Ortona Costa dei Trabocchi in Abruzzo, organizers announced on Wednesday.

The route of the inaugural time trial will be mostly flat before a difficulty in the final to designate the first pink jersey of the Giro 2023 in Abruzzo, along the Adriatic Sea.
