Gold prices in Egypt have lost 10 pounds in just two days, having skipped last weekend.
Najib Najib, secretary general of the Golden Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Lamasrawi that the price of one gram of gold caliber 21 fell during the day to 647 pounds compared to 657 pounds last Wednesday.
The price of gold rose two days ago, about 10 pounds per gram, after rising to the highest level in 10 months globally, but fell yesterday, due to global decline.
The price of one gram of 18 gauge gold today 554.6 pounds, and the 24 gauge records 739.4 pounds per gram, and recorded the pound price of 5176 pound sterling.
Globally, gold rose on Friday as the dollar was under pressure for optimism about China-US trade talks, Reuters reported.
But the signs that the Federal Reserve could increase rates this year have kept prices below the 10-month high at the start of this week.
Gold futures rose 0.2% to $ 1325.52 an ounce by 5:48 GMT. Metal moved into the second direct weekly gain, up 0.4% this week.
