BerlinGoogle now offers in Germany, the targeted search for job postings. To start the new function are job ads of hundreds of partners, including publishing houses such as the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” and the Südwestdeutsche Medienholding and job boards such as Xing, LinkedIn and Monster available announced the Internet Group on Wednesday in Berlin.
Using search terms such as “Jobs Near Me” or “Baker Job Advertisements”, Google lists corresponding previews of the partners' job postings at the top of the results. With filter settings, the results can be further specified, for example, after full or part-time jobs, the city of your choice or the industry you are looking for, as well as your own skills and training.
For the new offer Google wants to cooperate with partners, so that hundreds of thousands of job advertisements should be available. For the careers network Xing that was a way to make their own job market offer even better known, said Jens Stief, Managing Director of the department E-Recruiting at Xing at the presentation in Berlin. “We expect the partnership with Google to bring more job-seeking people to us.”
A targeted job search offers Google since 2017 in the US. It is now available in 120 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom and Spain. Beyond the previous partners, the function should be open to all websites. Google provides developers with instructions on how to integrate their ads into Google Search on their own pages.
