The UK government is extending the protective measures taken against the corona virus pandemic. The curfew that has been in effect since March 23 will be extended “by at least three weeks,” said Foreign Minister Dominic Raab, who represents Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has Covid-19 lung disease, in London on Thursday.
The Ministry of Health had previously announced that a further 861 people in hospitals had died within 24 hours after being infected with the novel corona virus. That was almost a hundred new deaths more than the previous day. In the past few days, the increase in the number of victims had slowed.
A total of 13,729 people have died in Great Britain to date. The number of confirmed corona cases exceeded 100,000 on Thursday.
