Juan Guaido, who declared himself Interim President of Venezuela, announced that the officers of the National Intelligence Service (Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional, SEBIN) were detained by the head of his staff, Roberto Marrero. According to Guayido, security forces arrested Marrero at his home.
Referring to the neighbor of Marrero, a member of the National Assembly, Sergio Vergara, Guayido said that SEBIN's employees had thrown two rifles and a grenade into his companion's house, and then arrested him and took him away in one direction unknown.
"We don't know where it is now. It must be released immediately," – I wrote Guaido on his Twitter page.
Guayido declared himself interim president of Venezuela on January 23, 2019. Since then, he has been recognized as head of state of the United States, Canada, EU countries and Latin America. Russia, Cuba, Turkey, Bolivia, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Iran supported the current president, Nicolas Maduro.
