Gudang Garam Toll Road Built, This is the Regional Route

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The construction of the Kediri – Tulungagung Toll Road with a length of 44.51 kilometers is in the tender process. Later it is reported that this toll road will pass through two sub-districts in East Java.

Quoting the official website of the Kediri City Government, the socialization of the Kediri – Tulungagung toll road construction plan last October 2022, which was attended by 1031 residents affected by the toll road construction.

“Which are spread over two sub-districts, namely Mojoroto sub-district and Kota sub-district, in eight sub-districts namely Semampir, Bujel Sukorame, Pojok, Mrican, Gayam, Ngampel, and Mojoroto,” explained Mayor of Kediri Abdullah Abu Bakar, quoted on the official website of the Kediri City Government, Friday (25/11/2022).



Abdullah Abu Bakar explained that this socialization was to equate the public’s perception of toll road construction that is included in the National Strategic Project (PSN). It can also provide public understanding about the construction of this toll road.

The Head of the Kediri – Tulungagung Toll Road Land Acquisition Team from the PUPR Ministry explained that the land acquisition process was carried out in four stages.

“Starting from the planning stage that we have gone through, then the preparation stage where one of them is through today’s socialization, then the next stage is public consultation and the implementation stage which will involve many stakeholders,” he said.

It should be noted that this toll road is an unsolicited PPP project proposed by PT Gudang Garam Tbk. This toll road is a continuation of the Kertosono – Kediri toll road.

This project is also a National Strategic Project (PSN) in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 80 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of Economic Development in the Gresik – Bangkalan – Mojokerto – Surabaya – Sidoarjo – Lamongan Region, the Bromo – Tengger – Semeru Area, as well as Selingkar Wilis and Lintas Selatan.

It is planned that next year the Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) process will be carried out with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT).

“For the Kediri – Tulung Agung toll road, the PPJT plan is in Q4 2023,” said the Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Danang Parikesit, to CNBC Indonesia, Thursday (25/11/2022).

Quoting the BPJT report as of November 2022, the progress of the Kediri Tulung Agung toll road tender is still under evaluation of the Participant Prequalification Documents. PT Gudang Garam Tbk has been declared the prequalification winner.

Later after the PPJT process will be continued with the funding process, technical planning to construction implementation. So that the construction period still requires a longer time.
