Gynecologists have had to remove all kinds of things from the female genitalia, but this case was shocking: a bullet stuck in the clitoris was removed

A report detailing this accidental injury was recently published in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports, according to nypost.com.

“To our knowledge, this is the first such gunshot wound when the heat penetrated the vulva (external part of the female genitalia) and remained in the clitoris,” the authors of the study wrote.

The terrified woman went to Erdogan Hospital in Mogadishu, where a CT scan revealed a stray lead bullet lodged in her clitoris. To the knowledge of the study authors, this is the first such case.

Surgeons applied local anesthesia to the patient and removed the bullet from the intimate part of the body.

A month later, the woman came to the doctors for a check-up, and they found that the patient’s health was still good.

At the time, gunshot wounds to the genital area usually occurred “on battlefields or in urban areas where crime is rampant.”

However, this is not the first time that intimate places an incredible object is drawn.
