Accidents like this happen again and again in Berlin. A truck overlooks a cyclist while turning and a collision occurs. This was also the case last week. It caught a handball player.
Handball Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin has to do without left winger Milos Vujovic for several weeks. The 26-year-old was hit by a truck on his bike last week, as the capital club announced. After a stay in the intensive care unit in a clinic in Berlin-Friedrichshain, the newcomer has now been released from the hospital.
“For Milos it is like a second birthday, and we can count ourselves lucky that the accident did not have any worse consequences,” said Füchse managing director Bob Hanning. It is not yet certain when Vujovic has fully recovered. “I want to get back on the record as soon as possible and help my new team,” said the Montenegrin Vujovic, who only moved to Berlin from the Hungarian club Tatabánya KC in the summer.
While Vujovic can concentrate on his recovery, Tim Freihöfer is scheduled for the Füchse Bundesliga squad for the coming weeks. The young left winger was already in action when he won the test match against Hamburg on Saturday (38:29).
