Head of East Java BPN Sudarman Harjasaputra Removed As a result of “Flexing” Assets

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Head of the East Jakarta Administrative City Land Office (BPN) Sudarman Harjasaputra, whose wife went viral because she often flaunted her wealth, aka flexing, was removed from her post.

In fact, Sudarman and his wife, Vidya Piscarista, were also summoned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and clarified for 10 hours about their assets.

“That’s right (it was removed because his wife often flexed),” said Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Yulia Jaya Nirmawati when asked for confirmation, Wednesday (22/3/2023).

Yulia emphasized that the ATR/BPN Ministry respects the investigation process carried out by the KPK on Sudarman.

Apart from that, Sudarman has also been examined by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN through the Government Internal Monitoring Apparatus (APIP).

As a result, Sudarman was removed from his position.

“To facilitate the examination process carried out, the person concerned has been relieved of his position,” he said.

Yulia then reminded the Minister of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto’s directives which asked officials and families not to show off their power, wealth and luxury.

“The Minister also asked that the ranks of the ATR/BPN Ministry be able to cultivate a simple lifestyle, starting with yourself and your family,” added Yulia.

It is known that Sudarman is in the spotlight because his wife is said to often upload her luxurious lifestyle on social media such as traveling abroad, using first class airplanes, and others.

He is recorded as having a wealth of IDR 14.7 billion. One of the assets he owns is land and buildings worth IDR 5,393,960,000 or IDR 5.39 billion in South Jakarta (Jaksel).

The land and building area is 387 square meters/250 square meters and is the result of Sudarman himself.
