Calling the German medium-sized company Heckler & Koch a secret has long been a friendly understatement. Not a word came out at one of the largest small arms manufacturers in Europe, whose headquarters are in the Black Forest. But now the owners are arguing, and that makes headlines in the constant fire. "Power struggle in the armory" writes the FAZ, "extremely explosive" is what he calls Focus, what is brewing at Heckler & Koch. The Supervisory Board has now convened an extraordinary shareholders' meeting there. This Thursday the owners meet in an event hall in Rottweil. The meeting point fits the company as well as the current situation: it is located on the site of a former powder mill.
