Nintendo’s latest live show was a big hit – with the reveal of real game clips Bayonet 3.

It’s dated to hit the Switch sometime in 2022, but it looks like it’s still around some Fans are wondering if it will be released on other platforms. The game’s executive producer, Hideki Kamiya, has now commented on the title’s exclusivity.

So what’s the situation here? It’s a Nintendo-funded version – so all decisions are up to Nintendo. While the port isn’t necessarily “impossible,” there’s a good chance Mario and Link will appear for other platforms, according to Hideki.

Here’s the full translation of Hideki’s latest tweet, courtesy of Nintendo Everything:

“As with Bayonetta 2, we are developing Bayonetta 3 with funding from Nintendo. We are only involved in development. All decisions regarding the final product are Nintendo’s own. Please do not hesitate to submit your requests for the game to be released on other Nintendo systems. ” If Nintendo asks us to move the game to PS5, we can do it.

“I mean, I think the prospect of Bayonetta 2 and 3 coming to PS5 and Xbox isn’t out of the question – it’s Nintendo’s decision. Likewise, it’s not impossible for games like Mario and Zelda to release on PS5 or so good luck sending emotional calls to Nintendo and trying to make it happen… If I were you, I would just buy a switch.

Hideki made similar comments regarding Bayonet 2A Nintendo exclusive, and so far the title has remained exclusive to Wii U and Switch. So there you go – if you want to play Bayonetta 3, Kamiya’s advice is to “just buy a Switch”.
