Horacio Rodríguez Larreta warned that if the cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) increase considerably, he will take new measures regarding social, preventive and mandatory isolation in the City of Buenos Aires.
“I talk to Axel (Kicillof) all the time, it is our duty. We always try to make decisions together. We are going to make decisions based on data and evidence. If the cases increase a lot, we will make decisions. We are monitoring it day by day “, explained the Buenos Aires head of government in dialogue with Radio 10.
In any case, he clarified that although the intention is to make decisions jointly, “does not necessarily mean that the decision is exactly the same from one side to the other” because “they are different realities”.
On the other hand, Larreta indicated that “as of Friday, the use of intensive care beds is a little above 30%, reaching 35%.”
“17 days ago we had an average of 420 average cases. The Detectar program is very successful, it works very well. This week we are going to further intensify the tests in the City’s neighborhoods,” he concluded.
This Monday, the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, will meet through a videoconference with his peers from the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, Fernán Quirós (City) and Daniel Gollán (Buenos Aires), to assess the health situation and the steps to follow in quarantine.
