He San Borja Arriarán Clinical Hospital this weekend developed an operation to address the waiting list that the health facility has.
Under the name “The Specialist in your Office”, these operations are focused on reducing the list of patients waiting for care, providing greater security to users and reducing the possibility of infections covid-19.
Together with the support of the Directorate of Primary Care and the Central Metropolitan Health Service, professionals attended cesfam and the hospital was also opened on Saturday.
This is how more than 90 people were treated at the Cesfam Maipú by 2 dentists, 1 ophthalmologist, 1 urologist and 1 otolaryngologist; while about 170 patients received care at the hospital’s Diagnosis and Treatment Center.
Jorge Wilhelm, director of San Borja Arriarán, stated that “we are expanding our offer of care on Saturdays, including more specialties and surgical activity, which together with the work in coordination with Primary Care and the Health Service, will allow us to tackle the resolution of the waiting list caused by the pandemic ”.
“The scenario in which we move today, with the restrictions due to the pandemic, prompts us to look for new ways in which the hospital opens up to our users, with the care of more than 200 patients on a Saturday day only the beginning of a new way of delivering health to our hospital ”, he added.
To this operation are added those carried out on Saturday, September 5 and 12 in the Cesfam Las Mercedes and Cesfam Maipú, respectively, instances in which 100 patients were treated in the specialties of Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology and Traumatology.
The beneficiaries are patients who must be cared for by Management Commitments (COMGES), that is, have 2 or more years waiting for specialist care, which must be received before December 31st.
