Huawei secures 60 contracts for 5G expansion

Shanghai The Chinese network equipment manufacturer and smartphone manufacturer has signed to date about 60 contracts for the construction of 5G networks. The expansion of the wireless networks for the ultra-fast Internet will contribute from 2020 with the launch of 5G services in China to sales, said Vice-Chairman Ken Hu.

Although expansion is gaining momentum, especially in Asia, it will be necessary to wait a while before 5G makes up a larger share of the business. Huawei is increasingly relying on its home market because the US has blacklisted the company for spying allegations.
