Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly, assured that the Constitution of Venezuela guarantees the necessary legitimacy to exercise the presidential office.

"The Constitution gives me the legitimacy to exercise the office of the Presidency of the Republic to convene the elections, but I need the support of citizens to carry it out," Guaidó said during an open meeting of the municipality.

The MP informed that three articles of the Constitution will be respected to stop the Presidency's usurpation.

"I have adhered to articles 233, 333 and 350 of the Constitution to convene free elections and the union of the people, the FAN and the international community to achieve the cessation of usurpation," said the deputy.
