The mayor of the Libertador municipality of Caracas, Erika Farías, reported this Tuesday that they will soon activate the Mission Bases in the Caricuao, Pinto Salinas, Sucre and El Valle parishes to attend mild and moderate cases of patients with COVID-19 in the capital city.
“We have the capacity to care for 600 asymptomatic cases, which represents an organized work between all forces and the people’s conscience to eradicate the virus. We are adapting capacities in our sentinel hospitals, the Comprehensive Diagnosis Center (CDI) in the 46 Comprehensive Community Health Areas of the city of Caracas, ”he said.
In this sense, he indicated that the capital city has approximately 90 active health hotels to attend asymptomatic cases, community hotels to isolate positive cases and spaces for the care of nationals who must comply with the quarantine.
The statements were offered by Farías upon his departure from the coordination meeting that takes place every day with the Government team of the Capital District and the popular force of Caracas, where he stressed that on the second day of the day of relative flexibility the population of the Capital District has shown signs of conscience and discipline.
“The expression of conscience and discipline has manifested itself in the Caracas population, we have seen that mobility is controlled, that the people are learning from the use of masks and physical distancing recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). All the security, medical and government forces are deployed for the life, prevention and timely care of the people, ”he said.
He reiterated the call of the population to maintain and respect the quarantine “the virus is transported with the movement of people, that implies having responsibility with the family, with the community and with the country.”
