In the Chelyabinsk region, the incidence of pneumonia is a third higher than in the past year

In October, in the Chelyabinsk region, doctors recorded the incidence of pneumonia in 52 people per 100,000 inhabitants.

This figure is almost a third (31%) higher than last year's data, and this figure is 27% higher than the average incidence rate of pneumonia in the region for many years.

At the same time, the number of pneumonia cases in children under 2 years has decreased. In the other age categories, there is an increase in incidence and, if in adults this increase is of 8%, the increase of pupils and adolescents is catastrophic: it was he who gave an increase 31% general.

When pneumonia develops inflammation in various lung structures. This disease can be a complication of another pathology or a primary disease.

The cause of the development of the disease are various microorganisms, for example, staphylococcus, mycoplasma, microvirus, adenovirus. The most dangerous is the variant of the microbial viral infection.

Pneumonia is a major cause of infant mortality.

The risk factors for the development of pneumonia are: chronic sore throat, hypothermia or overheating, stress, malnutrition, weak immunity, improper day regimen, non-compliance with the epidemiological regimen in groups of children, smoking, alcoholism and others.
