Influenza epidemic: quarantine in Greece

In Greece, the flu epidemic has killed 17 people in the last week. Therefore, the number of viral infection victims since October last year increased to 56.

These data were cited on Thursday by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Keelpno).

The most common strain, swine flu H1N1, does not spare neither children nor adults. Among the 219 hospitalized with the symptoms of this disease there are patients of all ages.

Only 13% of these were vaccinated. Doctors say: the best precaution is the vaccine.

Influenza A epidemics are recorded throughout Europe. In France, there are not enough hospital beds for those infected, which go to thousands. About 1800 people died in the country this winter due to complications caused by the influence.
