BAGHDAD (Reuters) – US-led coalition combat aircraft launched raids on the sites of a terrorist organization near the city of Mosul in northern Iraq on Saturday.
The raids were focused on Mount Qara Gokh near the town of Makhmour, southeast of Mosul, about 50 kilometers away.
In early November, the Iraqi authorities announced they had killed 19 "al-Dawash" in the Makhmour district, observing that they were holed up in a mountainous area, as well as finding large quantities of weapons.
Iraq had announced in December 2017 the victory over a preacher across Iraqi territory, but it, the terrorist organization, has kept some of the pockets from which to launch attacks from time to time in Iraq.
In the first city attack since government forces seized control of Daedesh in July 2017, five people were killed and 14 wounded today in a car bomb attack near a restaurant in Mosul.
It is worth mentioning that the dossier has lost almost 90% of the territory controlled in Iraq and Syria in 2014
