International Day of the Girl: Jeanine Áñez symbolically possesses Xiomarita as president of Bolivia

A Beniana girl proudly wore the presidential sash after being symbolically possessed by the president of Bolivia, Jeanine Áñez, as the first girl president of Bolivia.

The event was held in the department of Beni in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl, celebration established since 2011 by the United Nations General Assembly.

On the occasion, the president of Bolivia, encouraged girls and women to prepare, forge themselves in life and to fight for their rights and for improving their conditions.

“I tell all the little girls and women to make an effort, to fulfill their dreams, because they too can have the opportunity to occupy the position that I have today, I hope Xiomarita that at some point the girls and women as well as you can become the first political authority of our country, “said the president.
